Yoga Practice Teaching Clinic, August 18, 1 to 7 pm
Teaching yoga is a different skill than doing yoga. A strong flexible yogi isn't necessarily the best yoga teacher. Teaching is an art to itself. To teach yoga effectively we need feedback and practice.
Each participant will have the opportunity to teach many times through out the session in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment. Feedback will be constructive, respectful and non-competitive. The emphasis will be on developing your individual voice and teaching style. Come with one 15 minute prepared sequence, a 3 minute class opening, and a 3 minute class closing. For the workshop to be most effective practice the sequence so you know it well before you come. Bring 9 copies of a written/drawn form of the 15 minute sequence with you to the workshop or submit it to firstname.lastname@example.org by 8/15 and I will make copies.
