The Healing Power of Twists, June 29, 4 to 7 pm
Spend the afternoon exploring the healing power of twists and how to use them therapeutically in individual and group yoga sessions. Twisting asanas are important for the health of the digestive, reproductive and eliminatory systems. Twisting can increase flexibility in the spine, hips, shoulders and abdomen. Twisting the muscles in the back helps to relieve tension and pain. Twists also benefit the discs and facet joints between the spinal vertebrae and are referred to as the vitamin for the spine. This class is open to yoga teachers, yoga practitioners and anyone who wants to take responsibility for their own health through yoga.
