Laura Amazzone, MA, Author, Teacher, Priestess and Yogini and Nya Patrinos, MFA, Yoga Therapist & Instructor have created a unique Shakta Tantra Hatha Yoga 200-hour Teacher Training accredited by Yoga Alliance. This Goddess-centered authentic and undiluted Shakta Tantra and Hatha Yoga teacher training offers instructions on Yogic and Tantric practices to slow down, become present and return to our Goddess roots.
The training focuses on sadhana (spiritual practice) while providing a lineage based context for historical, cultural and social practices. In addition to Yoga and Shakta Tantric philosophy and teachings, this program provides strong ritual and devotional components allowing the practitioner to deepen their personal practice, embody the goddess energies, and transform consciousness.
Our approach is not one of physical fitness but rather spiritual transformation, embodiment, and liberation. Yoga asana will be taught as a seat of power and transformation.
We will explore such questions as, what is authentic Tantric sadhana? How do Tantric and Yogic philosophies complement each other? What does it mean to be on a Goddess-centered spiritual path?
This training will be self-reflective with an emphasis on practices for self-inquiry. The course will not be goal or process-oriented and emotional maturity is essential. This is a true Yogini inquiry that goes beyond the traditional (and often dismissed, denied or overlooked) male-centered yogic bias and the western portrayal of yoga practitioner. It is unique in its focus on the Goddess and looking to the Shakta Tantra and earlier Goddess-centered traditions as the origin of yoga and empowering paths for transformation and liberation.
This training also provides a much-needed antidote to this fast-paced, superficial, consumerist world that is filled with distractions and often lacks meaning. We know from experience that the asanas and fields of consciousness of specific Goddesses can unlock secret knowledge, power and deep intuitive wisdom if we can slow down enough to truly listen and receive. In this training we will learn Yogic and Tantric practices to open ourselves to the Divine and to allow ourselves to be guided deeper into the sanctuary of our hearts and souls while honoring our bodies as temples. We must be willing to confront whatever we find there, no matter how painful and frightening, while knowing that transformation and liberation can be achieved on this authentic Shakta Tantric and Yogic path.
This Goddess and Tantric immersion program is designed to help understand Classical Yoga and authentic Goddess-honoring Tantric sadhana and provide the training and tools to live and share a more meaningful, fulfilling life. Through Shakta Tantra and the theory and practice of yoga, we will understand and embody what it means to be a practitioner, and from there, with continued practice and devotion, we will inevitably be led by numerous dharmic synchronicities and signs and move toward spiritual liberation.
